Eagan Police Chief Salim Omari assumed his new duties as Chief in November 2025 after a two-decade long career serving in the Bloomington and St. Paul Police Departments.
Chief Omari brings impressive credentials, including working in a gangs unit, commander of a Major Crimes Division, and a SWAT commander. The Chief joins host Steve Francisco to discuss a broad range of topics, including training and what it takes to become an Eagan police officer, crime statistics for Eagan, the increasing use of aerial drones as an essential tool for law enforcement, and steps residents can take to avoid online fraud and scams.
