Prof. David Schultz, Hamline University & U of MN Law School (12-19-2025)   [Steve Francisco]

Law professor and political scientist, Professor David Schultz, from Hamline University and the University of Minnesota Law School, returns again to our program with host Steve Francisco to discuss some of the top legal cases in the news.

Recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in Minnesota and across the country have raised questions about the fundamental protections promised in the Fourth Amendment against unreasonable searches and seizures.

Immigrations sweeps are rounding up not only undocumented people but U.S. citizens and others in the country in legal status.

Professor Schultz also expresses his concerns that the U.S. Government could well be violating international law and perhaps committing war crimes with deadly attacks on alleged drug dealers in the Caribbean and Pacific oceans. Finally, Professor Schultz warns that the U.S. Supreme Court may be poised to make a landmark ruling next year effectively overturning birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment.
