Dr. Rob Shumer spent half a century devoted to education at all levels from kindergarten to graduate school, in the field of Service Learning. He shares his experience with us in this interview, and talked of his recent book, “Where’s the Wisdom in Service Learning?” with chapters by a dozen leaders in the field. Service Learning involves working for the common good, in a civil society, where people can benefit from learning by doing. Rob also talked about current trends in education, and their benefits and shortcomings.
