St. Paul native Melvin Carter has served the last several years appointed by Governor Dayton to be the Executive in charge of the MN Children’s Bureau. Prior to that he served six years on the St. Paul City Council. Carter recently entered the crowded race for the DFL nomination to become the DFL candidate for Mayor, and discussed both his background and plans for the city.
