State Representatives Liz Reyer and Bianca Virnig join host Steve Francisco to review the 2026 legislative session.
Major bills passed included a $1.2 billion infrastructure (bonding) bill, aid to keep Hennepin County Medical Center open, tax relief for vehicle registrations and homeowners, as well as the creation of a new inspector general and the hiring of more investigators to go after fraud.
Reps. Reyer and Virnig also explain their disappointment over what did not pass this session, including new restrictions on assault-style weapons and measures to rein in Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents operating in the state.
