State Senator Matt Klein waited on tables to work his way through the Mayo Medical School. Becoming a doctor and seeing the struggles of patients and their families in the health care system has now motivated him to run for Congress in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District.

Dr. Klein joins host Steve Francisco to explain why he believes Congress has an important role to play in guaranteeing quality health care and making it affordable.

He also explains why he believes that ICE must be strongly reformed (or abolished) in the wake of Operation Metro Surge which caused much trauma to our community and inflicted severe economic losses.

Protecting the environment and banning copper mining near the BWCA are also top priorities for the senator as he seeks the DFL Party nomination for this open Congressional seat.
