Dakota County History Revisited

Dakota County Historical Society (DCHS) recently opened a new interactive exhibit that is educating, fascinating and entertaining for children of all ages. Guest Matthew Carter, DCHS Executive Director, shares with host Bill Raker why and how the exhibit came to be.

This is a fun show-and-tell episode of Access to Democracy as Matthew demonstrates some of the unique components of the exhibit — like “digging” to discover pre-historic relics, and visiting an ice-cooled boxcar for shipping meat from the bygone stockyards.

Here is an exceptional opportunity to learn about how to enjoy and support DCHS in its role of preserving and showcasing local history.
