Hon. Justice Paul Thissen is the newest member of the MN Supreme Court, having been nominated by then-Governor Dayton in 2018 to fill out the unexpired term of a retiring Justice. He is running for election to a full six-year term this year. Associate Justice Thissen previously had been a member of the MN Legislature, and served as Speaker of the MN House. He discussed with Alan several cases in which he was the Justice who wrote the majority decision, and his transition into becoming a member of one of the most respected courts in the nation.
