Senator Scott Jensen (R-SD47) and Senator Matt Klein (D-SD52) are the only two Medical Doctors in the MN Legislature. They sit very near each other on the Senate floor (actually, they have desks 🙂 ) and, despite some fundamental philosophic political differences, believe that every person should have sufficient medical coverage. Jensen angered some of his party’s Senators in voting for a bill to enhance medical coverage. They are working together to present a bill encompassing that belief, have become good friends, and share some of that friendship with Alan.
